How much does a website cost for a small trade business?

How long does it take to build a website?
Most Oneway builds go live one to two weeks after the client hands over their content — photos, service list and contact details. The content is almost always what sets the timeline, not the build.
Do I own the website when it is finished?
Yes. You own the domain, the hosting account and the code outright. Nothing is held on a platform you have to keep paying to access, and you can move the site to another developer at any time without asking permission.

What do you need from me to get started?
A phone call about the job, then your logo if you have one, photos of your work, a list of the services you offer and the areas you cover. If you do not have photos, that is worth sorting out first — for a trade business, real photos of finished work convert better than anything a designer can draw.
What are AEO and GEO, and how are they different from SEO?
AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) are the practice of structuring a website so AI systems can quote it. Traditional SEO competes for a ranked position in a list of blue links. AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews do not rank pages that way at all — they synthesise an answer and cite a small handful of sources. Being one of those cited sources is what AEO and GEO are for.
